#GetActive Challenge: Workouts with MichFit
“I’m Michelle from MichFit Ballito.
I am a fitness instructor, health & nutrition advisor, a wife and mom of 2 grown children, oh and an ex preschool teacher.
I love living a healthy lifestyle, continuously educating myself in the fields of nutrition and fitness. I am not a gym bunny and never have been, although I have instructed in a few gyms over the years. I prefer the fresh ocean air and doing short workouts in the open.
Life is too short to spend hours in the gym. That is why I do HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. My sessions are not more than 30min and cater for women 35+ who are wanting to improve and maintain their fitness levels without having to spend hours working out.
Being a wife and mother, I know how important it is to keep our families healthy, that is why I also offer nutrition advice and encourage better, healthy eating habits for the whole family.
My motto – Live Healthy, Feel Healthy, Look Healthy.
This is why I do what I do. I want to be a fit, healthy grandma one day who is able to sit on the floor and do puzzles. Hey,even jump on the trampoline, do monkey bars, and run on the beach or at the park with my grandchildren. I hope that in doing so, I will help, encourage and inspire women to achieve their fitness and health goals no matter their age.
