36 New soccer balls for Aldinville pupils

Educating children and supporting budding Sports Talent in South Africa has always been a primary focus for Traderoot Active.

Educators and social workers have been vocal about the challenges of keeping children off the street and motivating them to get involved in the community.

Towards the end of 2021, the Traderoot Active team took on this challenge and worked towards inspiring children to get active.

The Traderoot Active team realise that in lots of areas in our community, families are poverty-stricken and cannot afford education let alone basic sports equipment.

In an effort to take an active approach to developing sports skills and abilities, Traderoot Active embarked on a “Donate a Soccer Ball” campaign which culminated in a handover of 36 balls to the underprivileged.

On 11 February 2022, the Traderoot Active team in partnership with the North Coast Courier was proud to visit and hand over 36 soccer balls to a school in Grouteville, KZN.

Mpume Vilakazi, a representative of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund was thrilled with the contribution as these balls benefit young boys and girls within our community, and motivate them to get active.
